Lesvos (Grecia): La campada NoBorder Kitchen @ Tsamakia desalojada, 365 personas detenidas [CAS-ENG-GR]

19 activistas y 346 refugiadxs detenidxs en el campo NoBorder Kitchen en Tsamakia, Lesvos el 20 de abril 2016.

El campo fue destruido.

Fotógrafos, periodistas y personas solidarias no pudieron ni acercarse y fueron amenazadas con ser detenidas también.

Los refugiados los enviaron a la prisión de Moria, enfrentadose a detención y deportación.

Hace unos pocos mese, algunos media de propaganda y de estado que hoy estaban condenando, arrestando y destruyendo, estaban “orgullosos”  de aquellxs que estaban rescatando y suportando lxs refugiadxs, usando nuestras acciones de solidaridad para ganar beneficios y poder.

Ahora en Idomeni, Lesvos, Chios y Piraeus, la solidaridad está bajo ataque. La hipocresía, en su máximo punto.

Fuerte y claro:

“No puedes detener a un movimiento!”

Hoy a las 6 de la mañana (miércoles, 20 de abril 2016), la campada en Tsamakia de Mytilene fue desalojada con violencia por las fuerzas de policía. La policía y los secretas, en cooperación con la guardia costera, ha invadido la campada y forzado lxs migrantes a subir a los autobuses, mientras lxs amenazaban verbalmente y físicamente, con comentarios sexistas y racistas.

Durante este violento pogrom, a lxs migrantes no les dieron tiempo de recoger sus papeles y cosas personales y no les informaron sobre sus derechos o destinación de los buses.

Después el desalojo de lxs migrantes, 19 personas solidarias fueron detenidas sin acusaciones o explicaciones durante 3 horas en la comisaria, y luego fueron liberadas. La representación legal fue inútil a la hora de mitigar la táctica intimidatoria de los maderos.

Durante este tiempo, a lxs activistas fue denegado el permiso de cuidar de sus mascotas, y todas estructuras y tiendas fueron destruida por el ayuntamiento.

En los pasados 5 meses, la NoBorder Kitchen ha estado activa en la playa de Tsamakia, promoviendo la abertura de todas fronteras para todas las personas, proporcionando comida para mas de 1000 personas que cruzaban por Mytilene en busca de libertad y oportunidades.

El mes pasado, después que Moria, el viejo centro de registro, ha devenido una prisión, muchas personas decidieron acamparse alrededor de la cocina para disfrutar de la libertad de movimiento, auto-determinación y el entorno familiar. Las personas solidarias han estado trabajando, cocinando y viviendo juntxs con lxs migrantes en un intento de superar el nacionalismo y el racismo institucional.

NBK ha proveído también a ayudas legales y medicas, primeros auxilios y necesidades humanitarias. Destruir la campada NBK es un intento por parte de las autoridades de impedir y cancelar la auto-organización del movimiento solidario de Lesvos que ha estado activo en los últimos meses.

La policía, el alcalde y las otras figuras autoritarias han mostrado sus prejuicios y discriminación contra estas actividades solidarias con las amenazas recibidas desde el principio y en ultimo con las detenciones y el desalojo.

Nosotrxs, como personas solidarias, elegimos no responder a los ridículos y sensacionalistas rumores divulgados por la prensa, que publicó un perro muerto para influenciar la opinión publica contra lxs refugiadxs, diciendo que la campada mataba o hasta comía perros. NBK por supuesto es una campada vegetariana que elije no sacrificar ninguna vida, y menos aun las amadas mascotas.

NBK seguirá suportando lxs refugiadxs en su lucha para disfrutar de la libertad de movimiento con humana dignidad.

19 activists & 346 refugees arrested at Noborderkitchen camp at Tsamakia – Lesvos on 20th april 2016.

The camp was destroyed.

Photographers, journalists and people in solidarity were not allowed to approach and were also threatened with arrests.
Refugees were sent at Moria prison facing detention and deportation.
Some months ago, some state and propaganda media that condemn, arrest and destroy today, were “proud” of those rescuing and supporting refugees, using our actions of solidarity to gain profits and power.
Now in Idomeni, Lesvos, Chios and Piraeus, solidarity is under attack. Hypocrisy at it’s best.

Loud and clear: You can’t evict a movement!

Today at 6 o’clock in the morning Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 the camp in Tsamakia of Mytilene was violently evicted by strong police forces. Policemen and undercover cops, in cooperation with the coastguard, invaded the camp and forced the immigrants to enter buses, while undergoing physical and verbal threats, as well as sexist and racist comments. During this violent pogrom, the immigrants were not given time to collect their documents and belongings and were not informed about their rights or the destination of the buses. After the eviction of the immigrants, 19 solidarity members were detained without any accusation or explanation and were finally released after being held for 3 hours in the police station. Legal representation was invaluable in mitigating the bullying tactics of the police. During this time, solidarity members were denied permission to care for their pets and all structures and tents were destroyed by the municipality.

During the past 5 months the No Border Kitchen has been active in Tsamakia beach, promoting open borders for all humans by providing food to more than 1000 people that passed through Mytilene in search of freedom and opportunity. Last month, after Moria, the former registration center became a prison, many people decided to camp around the kitchen in order to enjoy freedom of movement, self-determination and the family atmosphere. Solidarity members have been working, cooking and living together with the migrants in an effort to overcome petty nationalism and racism. NBK also provided legal and medical advice, first aid and supplied humanitarian needs. Destroying NBK camp is part of a continuing effort on the part of authorities to impede and even stamp out the self-organized solidarity movement of Lesbos which has been active in recent months. Police, the mayor and many authority figures have shown prejudice and discrimination against these solidarity activities as is evident in the threats NBK has received with arrests and eviction since it started.

We as solidarity members choose not to respond to the ridiculous and sensational rumors spread by the press which posted a video of a dead dog to influence public opinion against refugees that killing or eating dogs ocurred in our camp. NBK is a vegetarian kitchen that chooses not to sacrifice any life, let alone cherished pets.

NBK will continue to support the refugees in their struggle to enjoy freedom of movement with human dignity.

Σχετικά με την εκκένωση της κατασκήνωσης στα Τσαμάκια της Μυτιλήνης

Σήμερα Τετάρτη 20 Απριλίου τα ξημερώματα η κατασκήνωση που βρισκόταν στα Τσαμάκια της Μυτιλήνης εκκενώθηκε βίαια από ισχυρές αστυνομικές δυνάμεις. Αστυνομικοί, στρατιωτικοί και ασφαλίτες με τη συνεργασία του λιμενικού εισέβαλαν στην παραλία και ανάγκασαν τους μετανάστες να μπουν σε λεωφορεία κάτω από σωματικές και λεκτικές απειλές και ρατσιστικά σχόλια. Κατά την βίαιη προσαγωγή οι μετανάστες δεν είχαν χρόνο να μαζέψουν τα απαραίτητα έγγραφα και τις αποσκευές τους και δεν έλαβαν καμία ενημέρωση για τα δικαιώματα τους και τον προορισμό των λεωφορείων . Στη συνέχεια 19 αλληλέγγυοι οδηγήθηκαν στην ασφάλεια χωρίς κατηγορία ή εξήγηση και αφέθηκαν ελεύθεροι αφού κρατήθηκαν για 3 ώρες στο αστυνομικό τμήμα. Η νομική εκπροσώπηση των αλληλέγγυων ήταν πολύτιμη για τη διαχείριση των τραμπουκισμών των αστυνομικών. Κατά τη διάρκεια της προσαγωγής, δεν επιτράπηκε στους αλληλέγγυους να φροντίσουν για την τύχη των κατοικίδιών τους . Αμέσως μετά την εκκένωση όλες οι κατασκευές του camp και οι σκηνές καταστράφηκαν από το δήμο.

Στη παραλία στα Τσαμάκια τους περασμένους μήνες δραστηριοποιούνταν η ομάδα “No Border Kitchen” η οποία υποστηρίζοντας τα ανοιχτά σύνορα για όλους τους ανθρώπους παρείχε φαγητό σε πάνω από 1000 μετανάστες που έχουν περάσει από το νησί. Τον τελευταίο μήνα, μετά την μετατροπή του κέντρου καταγραφής της Μόριας σε φυλακή πολλοί επέλεξαν να κατασκηνώσουν στο μέρος,. Αλληλέγγυοι και μετανάστες δουλεύοντας μαζί στην κουζίνα και προσπαθώντας να καταργήσουν στην πράξη τις φυλετικές διακρίσεις ετοίμαζαν τα καθημερινά γεύματα που ήταν απαραίτητα για την επιβίωση των ταξιδιωτών. Επίσης παρείχε και τις απαραίτητες νομικές και ιατρικές συμβουλές καθώς και είδη πρώτης ανάγκης. Η καταστροφή της κατασκήνωσης στα Τσαμάκια είναι μέρος της συνεχούς ποινικοποίησης της αλληλεγγύης που έχει αναπτυχθεί τους τελευταίους μήνες στο νησί.. Ο ρόλος της αστυνομίας και του δήμαρχου είναι ξεκάθαρα ενάντια σε όλες αυτές τις κινήσεις αλληλεγγύης καθώς απειλούσαν με εκκένωση και συλλήψεις από την αρχή της δραστηριότητάς της NBK.

Εμείς ως αλληλέγγυοι επιλέγουμε να μην απαντήσουμε στις γελοίες φήμες ότι σκοτώνονταν ή τρώγονταν σκυλιά στην κατασκήνωση που προέκυψαν από δημοσιεύματα για να αποπροσανατολίσουν την κοινή γνώμη και να δυσφημίσουν τους μετανάστες. Η NBK είναι μια χορτοφαγική κουζίνα που επιλέγει να μη θυσιάζει καμία ζωή.
Η ΝΒΚ θα συνεχίσει να στηρίζει τους αγώνες των μεταναστών για την ελευθερη μετακίνηση και την ανθρώπινη αξιοπρέπεια.
