YPG International is an official information portal for the Rojava Revolution and People’s Defense Units (YPG) made by YPG. We provide first hand information for everyone who is interested in our struggle, in people’s revolution of Rojava, in Kurdistan and in a democratic Syria. YPG International is the international path to the Rojava Revolution, the official path to support YPG in Rojava.

YPG strives for a democratic, ecologic, and anti-patriarchal system of self-organisation; it takes its power from the people and fight for the people. We struggle to defend the dignity of being a human when there is no one around to defend it and to create an ethico-political society in order to realize ideals of equality, justice, freedom, and self-determination. We wage a war against all forms of fascism and capitalist hegemony that try to enslave the peoples and destroy the nature. We get our inspiration from the philosophy of Abdullah Ocalan whose ideas have become a torch in the jungle of oppression for the poor and the downtrodden; not only in Kurdistan but also in all around the world.

YPG is more than a military force. It is a revolutionary organization that protects the transformation towards the ethico-political society against its external and internal enemies in accordance with the principles of democratic confederalism. So its fundamental mission is to defend the people and the Rojava Revolution.

Based on the philosophy of Serok APO, the YPG struggles for a free and democratic Syria where tolerance towards other political views, religions, sects, ethnicities, cultures, and languages is a fundamental value. In this sense the YPG is democratic and legitimate self-defense force against hegemonic assaults of capitalist modernity and against pathological ideologies such as Daesh that had been produced by the capitalist modernity itself along with a deep crisis in the Middle East. The YPG is one of the forces in the Middle East that offers an alternative to capitalist modernity and its freakish products: the solution of democratic modernity. This alternative solution is not an abstract formulation; nor is it a salaried speculation. It offers ‘economic community’ as an alternative to capitalism. It confronts with industrialism of capitalism through ecological-economic community. It contests with nation-statism through an ethico-political society. This, however, radical and realistic position the YPG defends militarily creates enemies more than it creates friends.

Turkish state in the north for example has -probably still is- collaborated with Daesh logistically and financially. The KDP as the representative of primitive-nationalist and petty-bourgeois line in the Middle Eastern political spectrum cooperates with Turkish state, tries to suffocate Rojava with closed borders and with embargoes, and even attacks to Kurdish people in collaboration with the proxies of Turkish state. If the Assad regime does not attack the YPG now, it is because it has powerful enemies around itself that wait for an opportunity to strangle it. Despite the defensive position of Daesh, it seems that it will take more time to defeat these murderers completely. But that the YPG struggles with enemies of humanity and defends the transformation of Rojava in the direction of a democratic modernity is being appreciated every day more and more by many. Dozens of the YPG martyrs from Germany to Australia and of the internationalist revolutionaries who fell fighting shoulder on shoulder with the red star of the YPG and of the YPJ are the proof that the Rojava Revolution has already become an internationalist revolution that would never be extinguished.

To protect this revolution is a big mission and everyone should give some efforts, that’s an internationalist mission of all socialists, democrats and revolutionaries. The enemy is well organized and is attacking this revolution in many ways, not just in a military way.

Political, economical, social and ideological attacks are threatening this project for an other world. But we are not without a defense, all over the world more and more people understand the potential of this revolution and more and more show their solidarity. Your help is necessary to defend this revolution, and the experiences of this revolution are necessary to find again an successful revolutionary perspective in the struggle against capitalism, imperialism, colonialism, patriarchal and all other forms of oppression.

To defend the revolution this war is necessary, there is no alternative in Middle East today. Share our homepage, write about it. We want to have more conscious people coming to Rojava to support YPG, to learn about the revolution and the movement which was able to organize it.

Understanding Rojava is difficult from outside, some things in life you have to see with your own eyes to understand it. This revolution will change everything, let us together change the history! Every link, like, article, interview, and so on more is a step into the right direction.
