Land struggle in Mali: support the field occupation in Sanamadougou and
Sahou!

Since Monday, 18th of April 2016, the people of the two villages
Sanamadougou and Sahou in Mali / region Office du Niger are occupying their
land that has been robbed from them in 2010 by the agricultural investor
Modibo Keita. Since 2010, the peasants have been denied access to their
land, and it is also to mention that the landgrabbing investor Modibo Keita
has received money from German development funds.

The peasants of Sanamadougou and Sahou have decided to continue the
occupation of the fields that had beed robbed from them until at least
today, Monday, 25th of April. Maybe, today or during the following days,
there will be a big demonstration by the peasants and it is also possible
that the investor Modibo Keita will show up personally to negotiate with
the peasants. For this, it is very important to create as much
international pressure as possible on the authorities of Mali NOW!

a) send protest faxes to the politically responsible persons in Mali:

Liebe Freund_innen,

seit Montag, 18.4., besetzen die beiden Dörfer Sanamadougou und Sahou in
Mali / Region Office du Niger mit der Besetzung ihr Land, das ihnen 2010
von dem Investor Modibo Keita geraubt wurde und das sie seitdem nicht mehr
betreten konnten (wobei hinzugefügt werden sollte, dass der Investor
indirekt auch von Geldern aus der deutschen Entwicklungszusmamenarbeit
profitiert).

Die Bauern und Bäuerinnen von Sanamadougou und Sahou haben entschieden, mit
der Feldbesetzung ihrer geraubten Felder bis mindestens heute, Montag,
25.4., weiterzumachen. Möglicherweise gibt es heute oder in den kommenden
Tagen eine große Demonstration der Bäuer_innen, möglich ist auch, dass der
Investor Modibo Keita persönlich zu den Bäuer_innen kommt, um zu
verhandeln. Dafür ist es JETZT nötig, den internationalen Druck auf die
malischen Behörden zu erhöhen!

Was tun?

Sahou! Lances des fax et des appels de solidarité aux autorités maliennes
MAINTENANT!

Chèr(e)s ami(e)s,

Depuis lundi, 18 Avril, les deux villages de Sanamadougou et Sahou au Mali,
région office du Niger, occupent leurs champs qui ont été accaparés en 2010
par l’investisseur malien Modibo Keita. Cette action est soutenu par le
réseau transnational Afrique-Europe-Interact et par le syndicat paysan
“COPON”.

Les paysans et paysannes de Sanamadougou et Sahou ont décidé de continuer
avec l’occupation de leurs champs au moins jusqu’à aujourd’hui, lundi, 25
Avril. C’est possible que aujourd’hui ou dans les prochains jours, il y
aura encore une grande manif des paysan(ne)s – ou que l’investisseur Modibo
Keita viendra chez les paysan(ne)s pour des négotiations! Dans ce sens,
c’est très important qu’il y aura de la solidarité internationale, qui
augmente la pression sur les autorités, MAINTENANT!

b) Envoyer une lettre de protestation par poste à l’ambassade malienne à
Berlin (c’est une garantie que le message va arriver vraiment). L’adresse

c) Appelez directement les autorités responsables à Bamako (avec la
justification que vous avez entendu par les relations publiques de
l’Afrique-Europe-Interact sur les problèmes dans les deux villages). Telle
sorte de pression internationale est très importante pour montrer aux
autorités maliennes qu’ils sont sous l’observation internationale!
